I’m Sophia Holland, an artist and designer based in Queens, NY. This website serves as an archive of my entire body of work. Since 2015, I have been exploring different mediums: animation, design, digital and acrylic painting, interactive, performance, projection, and wearable. Receptionist at the department’s front desk. Spearheaded the Department of Digital Arts newsletter. Worked with staff, faculty, and students to install and maintain artwork and exhibits. Designed social media and print materials to promote upcoming gallery exhibitions.

Lead motion designer on the creative team for the animated advertisement and accompanying promotional materials for the PreCollege 2020 Summer Program. Producer for photoshoots and music used in the campaign. Individually responsible for the accompanying social media campaign - from internal pitch to final deliverables.

Slanted Studios, Brooklyn NY - Motion Design Intern
Created a social media campaign unique to Slanted Studios’ brand to reignite their online presence. Edited documentation of Slanted’s installation at the One World Trade Center.

Receptionist in the equipment rental center. Provided customer service to students renting equipment. Organized, kept track of, and watched over equipment available for rental.

Created and curated animations, audio-reactive effects, and videos specific to the event to composite in real-time. Coordinated with faculty and other students about design to fit the existing branding and logistics of the event. Brought and set up equipment.

Explored the basic concepts of VJing, with industry professionals João Beira, Matthew Childers, and Theron Pray, through project breakdowns and practice sessions. Given an introduction to creative coding specifically for VJing.
